Some Updates On Some Country Stars

Faith Hill will release her first Christmas album, Joy to the World, this year, according to a newsletter from her fan club. Faith's previous Christmas recordings include "Where Are You Christmas," from the 2002 film, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Faith was also a guest on Josh Groban's holiday album, Noel, which was released last year. Hill will perform at the CMA Music Festival on June 6.








Mindy McCready has now been questioned by the FBI in its perjury investigation involving baseball star Roger Clemens, according to the New York Daily News, which has been closely following the case. According to the newspaper, two FBI agents interviewed Mindy in an effort to determine whether Clemens lied when he told congressional investigators he had never taken performance-enhancing drugs. Clemens denies having used steroids and human growth hormone. Mindy has not refuted reports that she and Clemens were involved in a relationship that began in 1991. Mindy will perform Thursday (June 5) during a noon concert on the opening day of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville.

Taylor Swift will sing "Picture to Burn" during the season premiere of Nashville Star airing June 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. CMT will rebroadcast the premiere on June 14 and will subsequently rebroadcast the episodes on Friday nights. Now in its sixth season, Nashville Star will be hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus. Jewel, John Rich and Jeffrey Steele are this season's judges.
