Saturday evening was full of love, laughter, and a few tears for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who exchanged personal wedding vows in front of their closest family and friends at their home in L.A.
In an exclusive interview and photos, Ellen, 50, and Portia, 35, share the most romantic moments of the night with PEOPLE. "What can I say? I'm the luckiest girl in the world," says Ellen. "She's officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she'll cook and clean for me."
Amid candles and flowers by Mark's Garden, both brides, wearing designs by Zac Posen, sat on floor pillows along with author Wayne Dyer, who officiated the ceremony. After exchanging Neil Lane rings, the couple and their guests sat down for an all-vegan menu prepared by their personal chef David Silberkleit while Sweet Lady Jane created a vegan red velvet cake for the celebration.
"The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day," says Portia. "And one that we'll never forget."
With the "I dos" still fresh on her mind, Ellen joined the coverage of her weekend nuptials by addressing her fans on the Web site of her syndicated TV show. "I had a big weekend," writes the Ellen DeGeneres Show host. "I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos ... this one's taken."
Pointing out the cursive-script-style of her message as it appears on her site (accompanied by a photo of the couple), Ellen writes, "You may notice something different about the way I'm writing ... it's fancy. This is the font I type in now that I'm MARRIED!"
Continuing in this vein, she also says, "I do a lot of things differently now ... I say, 'I do' a lot. For example: Who wants to do pilates? I do. Would you like a Mountain Dew? I do. Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning."
As for Saturday's ceremony, Ellen states, "The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. I wish I could've invited all of you. But I have some pictures and video I can show you when Season 6 starts on September 8th. I can't wait to see them too ... it was all a blur." But, clearly, a happy one. Ellen signs off with, "Blissfully yours, The just married Mrs. DeGeneres" – with the "Mrs." underscored.

Ellen DeGeneres gave Portia de Rossi a glittering ring with pink diamonds for their upcoming wedding that will air in part on Ellen’s talk show. "We have set a wedding date," said Ellen, who walked the red carpet with Portia at Friday night's 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
Portia wore a green satin Lanvin gown and a Neil Lane ring on her wedding finger. The ring was a marquis cut diamond set with pink diamonds. Ellen, 50, who won an Emmy for outstanding talk-show host for the fourth year in a row, announced her plans to wed longtime girlfriend de Rossi, on her show back in May, shortly after California's Supreme Court ruled the previous ban on gay marriages as unconstitutional. The two stars are in the midst of preparations for what Ellen calls "the dream wedding."
"Planning a wedding is very stressful," says Ellen. "It is crazy. My gardener is now invited." The comedienne remained tight-lipped on the major details of her upcoming nuptials to Portia, 35, only revealing that "incredible people" would be performing, and that she would air part of the ceremony on her show.
But there are no signs of any pre-wedding jitters for Ellen. "I can't wait to be married. I feel like it is long overdue," she said. "And I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous like we all don't have the same rights." The two stars began dating in December 2004.
