Brad And Angelina Start Charity In Zahara's Homeland Of Ethiopia

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have given $2 million to fund a children's health clinic in Ethiopia, where their 3-year-old daughter Zahara was born. The center, which will focus on serving children with tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, will be run by the Global Health Committee. "It is our hope when Zahara is older she will take responsibility of the clinic and continue its mission," Brad said in a statement.

The Jolie-Pitts run a similar clinic in Cambodia - where their 7-year-old son Maddox was born - called Maddox Chivan Children's Center. "Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease," Angelina said in a statement.

"The fact that poor people continue to die in our world today of TB, a curable disease, because of lack of access to drugs and care is unacceptable," Brad added. This week, the power couple ranked sixth on Parade magazine's list of the most generous celebrities. They gave $8.4 million in 2007.

Brad And George Talk Babies And Marriage More Than Movie

Reporters at a Burn After Reading press conference Wednesday in Venice, Italy, didn't seem to care too much about the new comedy. Instead, they wanted to talk babies and marriage with the film's stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Is it better to win an Oscar or fall in love with a beautiful woman, one reporter asked Brad. “Brad, don’t answer that,” George quipped.

When a Hong Kong TV channel reporter asked Brad if his twins look more like him or Angelina Jolie, George stepped in again. "The twins are fine," he said, according to Reuters.

Does Clooney have any plans to settle down and have kids himself, another journalist asked. “I am so surprised to hear that question. That is honestly the first time I’ve been asked that question," he joked. "I am getting married and having children today. Brad?” Replied Brad, "And until then I’ll be sharing mine with him. I’ll have two more by next year."

Brad made his first public post-twin appearance with George Tuesday night at a Not On Our Watch fundraiser at Venice's Giudecca island. Earlier Tuesday, Brad and sons Pax, 4, and Maddox, 7, (sporting a bright blue mohawk!) arrived in Italy from their $70 million French mansion. The family went for a speed boat ride.

Brad And Angie Could Get Financial Support For The Kids While In France

With their brood of six kids, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are eligible for almost $2,600 a month in child benefits – though it's highly unlikely the couple will accept the cash. Just before the birth of their twins, Knox and Vivienne, the movie stars moved into the Chateau Miraval in the south of France.

Brad, 44, registered the family at the town hall in nearby Brignoles – making them qualify for France's generous parenting subsidies. (The benefits are available to all families, regardless of their financial means.)

No one expects the Jolie-Pitt clan to cash in, but they are technically eligible for a "nanny payment" of $975.84 a month, not to mention an "orphan allowance" of $508.97 for each of their three adopted children. The grand total, $2,592.81, would be payable by check each month.

"We do not discuss individual benefits cases," said a spokeswoman for the Brignoles council. "But [we] can confirm that all resident local families with young children are eligible for certain benefits."

The Jolie-Pitt Twins Arrive!

Brad Pitt was at Angelina Jolie's side as she gave birth to a son and daughter Saturday at the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, PEOPLE has confirmed. "The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly," Dr. Michel Sussmann told PEOPLE Sunday. "Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well."

Sussmann confirmed the Nice-Matin newspaper report that Jolie gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarean section on Saturday night. Knox weighed 5.03 lbs, and Vivienne 5 lbs. The twins are the fifth and sixth children for Angelina, 33, and partner Brad Pitt, 44, who are already parents to Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.

"The mother and father are very, very happy," Sussmann told PEOPLE. The doctor told the Associated Press that the Cesarean was moved forward "for medical reasons" so that the babies could be born "in the best conditions." He also said Angelina is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days.

On July 1, Angelina checked in to the Fondation Lenval hospital to await the births. The family has been living in the south of France since this spring.

What do you think of the names Brad and Angie picked for the twins? I really like the name they picked for their daughter, but Knox? I really do not care for that one. Vivienne is much more girlie than the names of their two other daughters. Zahara has such a kick ass vibe and Shiloh is very tomboy like as well. That was a big surprise. The name Knox just doesn't seem like a great name to me. It sounds like the name of a location or a dog, not a kid. I understand that both of Knox's names are from Brad's family, but I really don't care for it.

Pictures Of "Angelina Jolie" In Hosptial Were Fakes

Don't expect to catch any glimpses of Angelina Jolie in her hospital room. The hospital in Nice, France, where Angelina, 33, is staying as she awaits the birth of her twins has coated the windows of her room with special insulating material that cameras cannot see through, the Associated Press reports. The news comes after several photographs – allegedly of Angie and Brad Pitt – have surfaced.

"It is impossible to see into Mr. Brad Pitt and Mrs. Angelina Jolie's room," a rep for the Fondation Lenval hospital said in a statement. "So any picture released are either posed fakes set up by paparazzi or they are pictures of other patients. We hope this is clearly understood out of respect for all patients in this clinic."

On Tuesday, Brad was spotted arriving at the hospital, where he visited Angie, who is staying in a four-room suite overlooking the Mediterranean. Brad has been a frequent visitor, bringing the couple's daughters, Shiloh, 2, and Zahara, 3, along. On Saturday the actress's brother James Haven also visited. Angelina is undergoing observation and is expected to give birth anytime "in the next weeks," her obstetrician told reporters on July 2.

Brad And Daughters Visit Angie In The Hospital And Twins Arrival Said To Be Several Weeks Away

After Wednesday's press conference – during which Angelina Jolie's obstetrician announced it could be "several weeks" before she gives birth – she and Brad Pitt continued settling in to the Fondation Lenval hospital in the South of France. "It's like Fort Alamo!" trumpeted the Nice-Matin. The local newspaper also described the international media crush at the hospital as something out of the TV series 24 with walkie-talkies "like the kind Jack Bauer would use."

But the scene inside seems far more domestic. Brad dropped by the maternity ward Wednesday afternoon with their two daughters, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2. Angie– who is expecting twins with Brad– is staying in a pre-booked suite of four rooms overlooking the Mediterranean, the paper reported, adding that each room goes for a modest 125 Euros. (That's just under $200.)

Her obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, said Wednesday that the Oscar-winner could give birth anytime "in the next weeks." The doctor has been monitoring Angelina's pregnancy for the past two months, Nice-Matin reported, noting that he has been practicing in the area for 23 years.

"She will only benefit from being monitored at the hospital in the weeks to come," Sussmann said. "All this is ... totally normal." Is he nervous having such a high-profile patient? "I'm not nervous at all," he told PEOPLE. "She's a very nice person, very happy. She's not nervous either."

Angelina Jolie Reveals She Was Shocked To Learn She Was Expecting Twins

Angelina Jolie has talked candidly about her desire to continue expanding her family with Brad Pitt. But when the actress found out she was pregnant with twins, well, even she was taken aback. "We weren't expecting twins," Angelina, 33, tells Entertainment Weekly in a new interview. "So it did shock us, and we jumped to six [children] quickly. But we like a challenge."

With a house full of kids, Angie says she needs help – so it's a good thing there's family around to pitch in. "[Brad's] mom and dad are on standby to come out and help," she says.

But the real focus, Jolie says, is making sure their other children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – feel included when their new siblings are born. Says the actress: "They're old enough to feel included to change diapers themselves, to feed bottles themselves, like if I pump into a bottle. We're trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing ... Everybody gets special time so we can make sure we know where they're at."

As for how she's handling being pregnant with twins, the actress tells EW she's taking it easy and letting Brad handle all the heavy lifting, literally. "We've worked out a system where Brad just lifts [the kids] to me every time they want to come up," she says. "I just don't bend down. I'll scream, 'Honey!' and he'll come running and lift them up."

And pregnancy has other benefits as well. "It's great for the sex life," she says. "It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you're just so round and full."

Angelina Opens Up To Vanity Fair About Her Kids, Her Pregnancy And Shiloh's Birth

Actress Angelina Jolie, 32, is enjoying her pregnancy and time with partner Brad Pitt and their children. Angie opens up in July's Vanity Fair about being pregnant, raising an international family, their 2-year-old daughter Shiloh and how they annoy their children. The family not only includes, Shiloh, but siblings Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, all from different countries.

On being pregnant:
“I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depending on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”

On her international family:
When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh — because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little — and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”

On Shiloh’s birth:
“We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”

On nannies:
“We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher — wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Belgium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”

On raising her children:
“Artists raise their kids differently. We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

Angelina Jolie Is Still Pregnant

Contrary to a flurry of recent reports that Angelina Jolie has delivered her twins, PEOPLE confirms that the rumors are not true. "Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France," a rep for the actress tells PEOPLE.

Angelina and Brad Pitt recently signed a long-term lease for a chateau on the French Riviera. The 32-year-old – already mom to Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2 – also revealed to reporters at the Cannes International Film Festival that she was considering giving birth in France – and that French is the "second language" in the family's home.

Brad And Angelina Buy $35 Million Home In France

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have bought a £35 million chateau in the French Riviera to base their growing family. The couple are said to have looked at around 100 properties before settling on the 35-bedroom estate. The sprawling residence comes complete with it's own vineyard, moat, lake and forest which they bought direct from the owner after spotting the property from the air by helicopter.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have bought a vineyard castle on the French Riviera to cater for their expanding brood. The pair hope to move in by the beginning of August as they are expecting twins on the 19th. A source close to the deal said: “It's a place called Chateau Miraval which is in a tiny village called Brignol in the Var, not far from Aix en Provence. Just the driveway up to the Chateau is three miles long.”

The source went on to say, “There's a lake and a swimming pool and fountains and fields with ponies in and it's surrounded by a huge forest so no-one will be able to take pictures of them or the kids. They're both thrilled as they've been hunting for a place on the Riviera for over a year and it's exactly what they want. Last year Brad and Angelina took a helicopter along the Riviera and they were literally landing in people's gardens of houses that they liked and were running in to ask if their properties were for sale.”

The Jolie-Pitts new home has 25-bedrooms, a vineyard and is surrounded by tall trees providing the family with privacy. “They'll be moving in roughly three months and living there full- time.” The estate is surrounded by water with twenty fountains, aquaducts, and a stream runs through hidden tunnels and into the moat and fills the lake.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will have famous neighbors such as Bono and U2's The Edge close by. The location of the chateau is perfect for Angelina who has chosen to give birth to her twins in France as a tribute to her French grandmother and mother. It's also proved an idea situation since the family are planning to set up home there for some weeks after the birth. She gave birth to her first biological child - Shiloh - in Namibia two years ago. “It's absolutely stunning,” said the source.

'They're going to enrol the kids in a local French school and they already have friends there like Bono and The Edge from U2 and Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.” The estate comes complete with ponies, making playtime extra fun for the children. 'They've already bought a couple of million pounds worth of antiques to fill the place and are planning renovations with their Berlin based architects,' said a source.
