Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller's summer of love, which began with their wedding in May, is closing with more exciting news: They are expecting their first child together, his rep confirms.
"Brooke and I are thrilled!" Charlie said in a statement Monday. "She's the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for. Seeing her love and affection with those three, I know she'll be an amazing mom. Unless I bat 100 percent, perhaps a boy awaits us."
Charlie, 42, already has three daughters: Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and Cassandra, 23, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt. "Brooke found out for sure on Friday and is thrilled to death," a family source tells PEOPLE. "Brooke loves Charlie very much and has wanted a baby for some time."
The pair began talking kids right after their wedding, with Brooke joking that she wanted triplets. "Could you imagine if I really had triplets?" she told Extra in June. "He'd be like, 'Whoa!'"

Denise Richards went too far when she falsely accused her ex, Charlie Sheen, of molesting their daughters - and now Charlie will move for full custody of the kids by charging that their mother is a liar.
Denise dragged Charlie into a Los Angeles courtroom early last week for a mysterious “emergency” child-custody hearing to screen videos of their girls, Sam and Lola, supposedly acting in strange and disturbing ways. Charlie’s lawyers - who got the “evidence” dismissed - presented their own videos of the girls acting normally at his house.
A source said, “Denise’s accusations were vile. She was basically trying to say Charlie [manipulated] the kids and acted inappropriately with them. It’s disgusting and totally untrue. Charlie is furious . . . Denise has really pushed it too far this time. “She came after Charlie because the ratings on her E! reality show [’It’s Complicated’] have tanked and they were threatening not to renew,” the source said.
“She thinks a court battle would be good for ratings so she wants all overnight visits with the girls ceased, and monitored visits with her nanny. She invited the media circus to the hearing and even wanted reporters in the judge’s chambers - which wasn’t allowed. It’s ridiculous.”
Charlie is said to be so furious, he’s “out to prove Denise’s lack of veracity and sue her in civil court for defamation. Then he’ll sue for child custody. “Sheen feels Richards has defamed him, especially after she denied sending [current wife] Brooke an e-mail in which she claims to want his sperm for another child.
Richards says the e-mail is a fake. Sheen claims he has the e-mail and is getting forensic computer geeks to verify its authenticity. Charlie has now been forced to take a stand and do what’s best for the girls,” our insider said.

Britney Spears made a surprise appearance at a fundraiser for Jenny McCarthy's autism charity Generation Rescue Saturday in Los Angeles. As guests like Jenny's beau, Jim Carrey and Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller made the rounds, Britney, 26, sipped on red wine. Jim's daughter Jane also belted out a few Frank Sinatra and Jackson 5 tunes. Britney, 26, "definitely looked happy," a witness tells Usmagazine.com. "She was clapping and smiling a lot."
It was Britney’s first public outing since reaching a custody agreement with ex Kevin Federline last week. Kevin gets sole custody, Britney gets three visits a week from Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, including two overnights. If all goes well, she could have her boys roughly 40 percent of the time, her attorney, Laura Wasser, has said. Wasser told the Associated Press the "difference" in Britney "from the beginning of this year to now is astonishing. Brit is spending her summer recording a new album.

The wedding was a long-time coming for the actor, who spent most of his two-year relationship with Brooke entangled in a very public war of words with his ex-wife Denise Richards.
But on May 30, none of that seemed to matter as Charlie,42, and Brooke,30, exchanged vows under a low hanging canopy in front of 68 guests including Charlie's parents Janet and Martin Sheen, brothers Ramon and Emilio Estevez and three daughters Cassandra,23,(from his first marriage) Sam J.,4, and Lola Rose,3.
Celebrity event designer Yifat Oren incorporated nature themes for the couple's wedding theme and reception, using bowls of pears, oranges and chocolate-hued candles to adorn the dining tables. At one point a beaming Charlie grabbed the microphone and told guests, "I would like to introduce you to Mrs. Charlie Sheen. We did it, didn't we?”.
"I was telling a couple of friends last night that this feels like my first real marriage, Charlie confessed to OK!. "The first one was a show, the second one was a con, and this one is the real deal." Despite his notorious bad-boy reputation, Charlie told OK! that he is devoted to Brooke. He also has made a promise to himself, never to utter Denise’s name in public again. It's a lesson he admits has taken a long time to learn.
"I'm so tired of talking about her and all her shenanigans," he said. "It is what it is. I don't even care anymore. I'm going to take a stand to basically never utter her name publicly again, and I think if that's known, it will put an end to some of the drama." Charlie says he's never watched Denise's new reality show and is excited to move ahead with his life.
"I think it's no accident that whats-her-face chose this time to do what she did. It's pretty obvious that Brooke and I, through our actions and union, are moving on with our lives. Perhaps somebody else should consider the same." And speaking of moving forward, are children in the cards for these newlyweds? "Charlie has three girls, so ideally, we'd have a boy," Brooke says, adding, "but it doesn't matter as long as it's a healthy baby."

Charlie Sheen married real estate investor Brooke Mueller at a private estate in Los Angeles on Friday, PEOPLE has confirmed. "They're well matched and incredibly happy," says a friend of the couple.
Brooke, 30, and Charlie, 42, exchanged vows in front of about 60 close friends and family. Among the guests were Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart, who first introduced the couple in 2006. "Brooke really wanted to walk down the aisle in a big way, but Charlie insisted they keep it simple and small," says a source.
The Two and a Half Men star proposed to Brooke in Costa Rica last June, presenting her with a $500,000 custom-designed 11-carat yellow diamond and platinum ring from jeweler Lord Alon Barak. The newlyweds are expected to attend the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Saturday, an event where they made their first public appearance as a couple two years ago.
In lieu of wedding gifts, the newlyweds have asked guests to donate to the Chrysalis: Changing Lives Through Jobs charity and to Pugs 'N Pals, a dog rescue charity. (God Bless a man who asks to donate to an animal rescue charity.)
As for their future, Charlie and Brooke are eager to start a family, according to an insider. "Brooke is hoping to get pregnant very soon," says the friend. Charlie is dad to three daughters already, Cassandra, 23, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt and Sam, 4, and Lola, 2, with ex-wife Denise Richards. And even though Denise and Charlie are not getting along Denise is making sure the girls are part of the wedding.
Denise says ex-husband Charlie can expect a wedding present from her – in their daughters' names. "[I'll send] something from the girls," Denise said on the Valentine in the Morning radio show Friday. Denise did not attend the wedding as once was rumored to happen, but the girls were there. "At the end of the day, he's their dad," she said of Sheen. "They have to understand that."
