Us Weekly reporting that Jessica Simpson's controlling father Joe has brought her relationship with Tony Romo to the brink and was the main source behind their split in May. A source tells Us Joe asked Tony, 28, to drop his agent so he could take over his NFL career and $67.5 million contract.
He even offered to broker a deal to sell his engagement and wedding to a magazine should Tony and Jessica, 27, get engaged. "'If you guys have a marriage, I can do the same [sell it] that I did with Ashlee,'" a source quotes Joe as saying.
As tension grew, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback gave Jessica an ultimatum: Tell dad to back off!
When asked for comment by Us, Joe defended himself, telling Us, “It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?"
Tony was also turned off by Jessica's partying, another source adds. "Tony goes out and he will drink socially, but he said Jess takes it to an extreme," the pal tells Us. For now, a source says Tony and Jessica are back on, in "a talking stage." Adds the source of their relationship, "it's in a middle-of-the-road state."
And while Jessica and Tony’s relationship might not be as strong as it once was her career is on the up swing. Jessica will perform her first single from her upcoming country album on The View on June 25. The singer will sing "Come on Over" from Las Vegas, where the chat-fest is broadcasting that week.

On a beautiful spring day set against the backdrop of a sprawling Beverly Hills estate, Charlie Sheen and his lady-love Brooke Mueller said 'I do' in an intimate and romantic ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. The wedding was a long-time coming for the actor, who spent most of his two-year relationship with Brooke entangled in a very public war of words with his ex-wife Denise Richards.
But on May 30, none of that seemed to matter as Charlie,42, and Brooke,30, exchanged vows under a low hanging canopy in front of 68 guests including Charlie's parents Janet and Martin Sheen, brothers Ramon and Emilio Estevez and three daughters Cassandra,23,(from his first marriage) Sam J.,4, and Lola Rose,3.
Celebrity event designer Yifat Oren incorporated nature themes for the couple's wedding theme and reception, using bowls of pears, oranges and chocolate-hued candles to adorn the dining tables. At one point a beaming Charlie grabbed the microphone and told guests, "I would like to introduce you to Mrs. Charlie Sheen. We did it, didn't we?”.
"I was telling a couple of friends last night that this feels like my first real marriage, Charlie confessed to OK!. "The first one was a show, the second one was a con, and this one is the real deal." Despite his notorious bad-boy reputation, Charlie told OK! that he is devoted to Brooke. He also has made a promise to himself, never to utter Denise’s name in public again. It's a lesson he admits has taken a long time to learn.
"I'm so tired of talking about her and all her shenanigans," he said. "It is what it is. I don't even care anymore. I'm going to take a stand to basically never utter her name publicly again, and I think if that's known, it will put an end to some of the drama." Charlie says he's never watched Denise's new reality show and is excited to move ahead with his life.
"I think it's no accident that whats-her-face chose this time to do what she did. It's pretty obvious that Brooke and I, through our actions and union, are moving on with our lives. Perhaps somebody else should consider the same." And speaking of moving forward, are children in the cards for these newlyweds? "Charlie has three girls, so ideally, we'd have a boy," Brooke says, adding, "but it doesn't matter as long as it's a healthy baby."

Jamie Lynn Spears and her fiancé Casey Aldridge are in full-on nesting mode. The parents-to-be, who recently purchased their first home together in Liberty, Mississippi, are preparing for the imminent birth of their child, sources tell PEOPLE. "They're very happy," says a source. "They're a fun little couple."
To get settled in their new home, Jamie Lynn, 17, and Casey, 19, recently had furniture – including an elaborately carved four-poster king-size canopy bed, a leather recliner, and a leather sofa – delivered to the house.
Jamie Lynn's mom, Lynne, is helping her daughter decorate the nursery, with the color scheme of pink, brown, and "silver-green," says an insider. Jamie Lynn, who is due to give birth soon, has been keeping a low profile as she readies the new house for her baby. The five-acre Liberty property is already equipped with a barn and studio, which was formerly used as a hair salon.
One new neighbor, who has already offered to babysit, says, "They're just a sweet little old couple." Jamie Lynn and Casey, who got engaged in March, plan to wed after the baby is born.

Christina Aguilera loves her baby, but she likes the nightlife, too. "Once in a while, if I want to go out and have a mommy-daddy night with my husband, I am more than allowed to do that," the singer – who gave birth to son Max Liron in January – told Access Hollywood.
This past weekend, for example, she hit Las Vegas's Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace to help celebrate the launch of an Xtina-inspired jewelry line, the Stephen Webster Silver Collection. "I spend all day with my son," Christina, 27, told the TV show – adding that any criticism of her late-night outings with husband Jordan Bratman is downright "mean spirited."
"Everybody has an opinion and everybody sometimes wants to cause drama," she said. "But it's something that comes with what you do and I learned that very early on."

According to the cover of the latest Star Magazine, Brad Pitt and his peeps "panicked" after Angelina "collapsed" on a beach in France. Problem is -- it just ain't true. A series of photos taken at exactly the same time on the same day show she was just fine, playing with the kids and having grand old time. In fact, Brad and U2's The Edge are just helping her up off the beach ... like gentlemen should do with pregnant women. By the way, Star makes this sound like it just happened -- these pics were taken a month ago. Their rep says they stand by their story -- and that the snap in question was taken May 21.
