If you think Matthew McConaughey is a character, wait until you meet his mom. In her new book, I Amaze Myself! (iamazemyself.com), Kay McConaughey dishes on everything from her son Matthew’s conception to how her husband died in a compromising position with her!
“On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love,” Kay says exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn’t hear anything from him.”
“Just nothing," she continued. "But it was just the best way to go!” And when her man couldn’t be revived, she made sure he was taken from the house in the buff. “I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey — and his gift,” she says.
The mother — who tells Us, “I would love to be on Oprah!” — also says that her most famous son, 38, was a happy accident.
It was just after she’d married Matthew’s dad for the third time. “I was deciding, ‘Do I want to have another baby? Do I want to have an affair? Or go back to school?’” she says. “That’s when Matthew was conceived. We had tried for 16 years and no baby. So Matthew was a big surprise!”

TMZ has learned Honor Marie Warren, celebuspawn of Jessica Alba and hubby Cash Warren, is now $1.5 million richer thanks to OK!Magazine. TMZ says they hear the two-part deal consists of pictures of the baby now, and one other "event" -- Christmas, Thanksgiving, vacation, etc. Our spy said Jessica initially turned down the offers of several weekly mags, not wanting to sell, but eventually caved. Two-month-old Honor, we're told, is just "adorable" and the pictures, taken this week, are "so cute."
Also, Matthew McConaughey's lil' bundle of joy will be making Matt a big bundle of jack. TMZ spies have revealed that OK! mag will shell out $3 mil for the first pics of young Levi, who was just born Monday night. And that's not all -- we're told that the deal includes baby's first Christmas as well. TMZ also says OK! gets first right to the pics of the wedding if Matt and Cam get married -- though they'll have to pay extra for those snaps.

Matthew McConaughey became a dad at 6:22pm PT on July 7 when longtime girlfriend Camila Alves gave birth to a 7 lb., 4 oz. little lad in California. "A healthy baby boy was born," Matthew tells OK! in an exclusive statement. "Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world — Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure — raising one, together."
This is the first child for Camila, 24, and Matthew, who announced his great expectations on his official web site in January. And despite the actor's puckish behavior, one thing that's never been in doubt for Matthew is the question of whether or not he is ready for fatherhood. "One thing I've heard that's consistent is that whatever plans you make, throw them out the window because it's not a science," he said recently. "But I've got the instincts for it, and I know Camila does, and I'm looking forward to the big adventure."
